Perseverence pays off: the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Michigan Chapter is an official Charity Partner for the Fifth Third River Bank Run! This means exposing tens of thousands of runners, walkers, and volunteers to our cause, as well as expanding our fundraising base here in West Michigan. In the end, more than 30 runners and walkers signed up to participate in support of our cause! Check out photos and videos from the 2012 River Bank Run and watch our news page for how you can get involved with next year's event!

After several years of on-again off-again discussion, Godwin Plumbing swung in to assist with both our River Bank Run Charity Partnership as well as ROCK MS 2012. As a Primary Sponsor, Godwin is a major contributor to these events and we can't thank them enough! However, we can all thank them in our own way by visiting one of their several Grand Rapids-area locations: 3703 South Division, 1639 Chicago Drive in Wyoming, or their Ada Village shop at the corner of Ada Drive and Thornapple River (conveniently located right across the road from Peninsular Technologies). Godwin has the largest plumbing parts inventory in West Michigan, and their hardware selection sure comes in handy when you need just the right part for the job. For those who participated in the 2012 River Bank Run, check out your finisher's packet for a valuable coupon for their services!
Our partnership with the Fifth Third River Bank Run has brought fresh faces to the Team N3kk1d Family of Teams. We were pleased to have Monica Robinson running for MS at the River Bank Run in May. By the end of January she had already raised more than $500 for MS-related programs and research... that's tremendous! Well done, Monica!

We are extremely excited about this year's annual fundraiser for the Team N3kk1d Family of Teams. ROCK MS is a friendly competition of groups playing the popular video game Rock Band. The event will take place on Sunday, May 20th from 6pm to 9pm at Stella's Lounge in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We'll have stiff drinks, delicious food, a $1 raffle, and much more - all of which will assist in our fundraising efforts to wipe out MS forever! Check out our events page for details!
With his aversion to Facebook, Twitter, and other online social media, it seems a little strange that our team captain Sloth is... yes... blogging. But blogging he is, with photos and all! Check out the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Michigan Chapter blog on the Fifth third River Bank Run website and find out why it is so crucial that we stop MS NOW!

Team N3kk1d captain Sloth was apparently just enjoying a beautiful afternoon in downtown Grand Rapids when all of a sudden a huge group of runners spontaneously started to run! Well, he wasn't about to let them have all the fun without him. Check out the video on YouTube!
Wow; what a year! Between our Wii Bowling event, the West Michigan Bike MS tour, and our Golf MS event on September 10th, Team N3kk1d raised more than $6,000 for the fight against MS! Our cycling team really went all out this year, with half of the team tackling the Century Loop. This adds 25 to 50 additional miles to their route! FANTASTIC JOB, team! In addition, Tana Rousseau easily became one of our top fundraisers with our Golf MS gig, raising more than $650 single-handedly. Well done!
On top of all this, Team LaDorkas, which this year officially included Team N3kk1d team captains Sloth and Steph Ford, raised an additional $6,700 for the Wisconsin Challenge Walk MS event in September. This dedicated group of women is part of a small, elite group of MS warriors who raised more than $345,000 in 2011's event alone, easily surpassing the event's goal of $285,000! Unbelieveable!
Team N3kk1d would like to recognize Peninsular Technologies LLC for their generous support of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Michigan Chapter. Each year, this small digital video software development company assists Team N3kk1d with its monetary goals and also contributes both time and energy in making things happen. A big "hats off" to Peninsular's on-going support for our vision of a world free of Multiple Sclerosis!
