August Day One – Tuesday

Similar to the opening of 2016’s August tour, Sloth elected to start his route from Traverse City rather than bike all the way in from Grand Rapids. Team N3kk1d’s Steph Ford kindly offered transportation, and Sloth spent a lovely evening at Traverse City State Park before heading off on the TART trail to the Leelanau Peninsula. However, rather than head further up north, Sloth’s route instead cut west along the iconic M-22 state highway through the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. The day ended with a magical evening at the extremely popular D.H. Day Campground just off of Lake Michigan.
