July Day One – Thursday

Sloth’s weatherluck held out as he headed east out of Grand Rapids along the Grand River toward the middle of Michigan. The weather report threatened rain, but clear skies ruled during a hot and humid day with temperatures peaking at 90 Fahrenheit. Thursday’s total distance of 50 miles allowed Sloth to travel substantially off-route, visiting the many small towns on both sides of the river along his way.
