2015 Wisconsin Challenge Walk MS
The eighth annual Challenge Walk MS event in Door County, Wisconsin was arguably the best yet. This year’s 200 participants included almost 50 rookies and together they brought their overall fundraising total to two and a half MILLION dollars. How did such a small group raise that much money for MS research and programs over eight years? Because these are some the most dedicated and passionate individuals in the country, and they have one common vision: a world free of multiple sclerosis!
This year featured probably the best weather since the event’s inaugural year in 2008. 70-degree days, sun, and just a bit of wind on Saturday allowed our intrepid walkers to keep a swift pace. And John Haupt, our wheelchair “walker” from Milwaukee, managed to tackle the entire 50 miles almost entirely unassisted. WOW!
