2014 ROCK MS
Our third annual ROCK MS event was to be tied to the Classic Rock 5K but the race was canceled, resulting in a complete re-design. In the end, ROCK MS was labeled “Rock the Block” and brought to the Eastgate Neighborhood Association as a neighborhood block party. Kids were treated to a “candy walk” and games while Sloth kept the adults entertained with music trivia. A side-by-side Rock Band and karaoke system was largely used by the neighborhood kids, who thoroughly enjoyed their moment in the sun. Guitar Center and Paw Paw Brewery both donated items for a raffle, which proved to be fairly popular. In the end, ROCK MS 2014 raked in more than $500 for MS-related research and programs… not bad for a community event!
