An early morning thundershower with occasional lightning strikes welcomed our walkers and volunteers to breakfast at the Alpine lodge. Luckily this weather front passed quickly, allowing us to safely open the route more or less on time. The wind from Friday continued throughout the day but lessened into the evening, resulting in sunny skies and a stunning sunset.
