Day One – Friday
After starting off as a warm, humid, and somewhat foggy day, Friday afternoon brought in a stiff headwind… an issue that would continue to plague our challenge walkers throughout the weekend. Check out Sloth’s “view from a seatpost” video montage for proof! (WARNING: movie clip is 15 minutes in length, 51k in size and requires Windows Media Player. You may either save to disc or stream from our website to view.)

By mid-morning, the wind had done its job and dispelled at least some of the gloom… you could see the sun trying to peek through the trees…
MMmmmmm… some coffee from the Multiple Screwballs might be the perfect thing this morning!
Looks like Kit’s marketing skills are still unmatched…
Coffee AND donuts? Bring it on!
Looks like our walkers are definitely up for a sugar boost after taking on the hilly state park!
Pat could not keep her granddaughter from “taste testing” the donuts… no WONDER Kit grew three to four inches over the past year!
The MS Survivor team… still lookin’ fresh!
A panoramic view from Eagle Tower at Peninsula State Park (NOTE: will open in a new window)
The Pagel family put on a great show for the walkers with their superhero-themed rest stop
The penguin versus Robin… who will emerge victorious?
Dude… who would NOT want a port-a-john like that?
Sloth especially liked the Pokemon caped crusaders on the Pagel family’s rest stop game
Our heroes!
Tim Pagel could not be with us this year, but the walkers signed a huge poster for him… awesome!
The adorable and indomitable Pat Heller “passed the hat” on highway 42 through Ephraim at lunch
How can you NOT stop at Wilson’s for ice cream?
Deb and Bob Knudsen… each mile is one step closer to a cure!
Sloth especially liked this Door County resident’s mailbox
Time for the Team LaDorkas rest stop!

Hilarious!
Walkers “make their mark” as they pass through…
Well done, team!
Not to be outside, the MS Survivors team rest stop featured a full tailgate party with cheese, meats, and – ahem – “beverages” a-plenty!
Oh, Wisconsin…
Never saw this player on the field this season…
Nice job, guys!
OoooOOOooohhh… Survivor meat!
Always moving… never outlasted!
The Knudsens stroll into the finish line… lookin’ good!
Time to head back to the cabins and grab a shower!
