The Challenge Walk MS is an event like no other. In just seven years, this group of 200 participants have raised TWO MILLION DOLLARS for MS-related research and programs. These are the elite of our front-line warriors: those whose lives have been impacted directly by multiple sclerosis. And they are here to DO something about it!
50 miles of walking is not easy. It’s also not easy to go out and raise $1,500 – minimum – in order to take part in this event. But that is exactly what these walkers do, and continue to do every year. This is a small but very tight-knit group of individuals who have formed a special bond over the past seven years.
Stiff winds were probably the biggest obstacle for our walkers this year, but there were few complaints: the forecast for the weekend was bleak and even called for thundershowers on Saturday. However, these storms rolled through at night or early in the morning, keeping the weekend relatively free from heavy precipitation.
