2013 Fifth Third River Bank Run

In its second year as a Charity Partner for the Fifth Third River Bank Run, Team N3kk1d and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society united once again to raise awareness and money for the fight against multiple sclerosis. The River Bank Run kicked off with a massive sports and fitness expo at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids and continued with the run event the next day downtown.

The MS Society booth is set up and ready to go! We shared booth space with second year partner Home Repair Services and newcomer Access of West Michigan
Team N3kk1d raised the bar in its 10th anniversary year with a flat panel television raffle courtesy Meijer!
The expo is busy with more than 20,000 visitors over a 9-hour period!
Julie wooed visitors with her irresistable charm and rockin’ outfit!
We had numerous visitors try their hand at Rock Band; this year we brought two guitars for multi-player pleasure!

Our tent’s beverage table featured purified water donated by Gordon Water Systems, plus hot coffee and cocoa.
Thanks to Gordon Water Systems for the donated water… we hope to see them again next year!
The Alzheimer’s Association provided purple decor and a great table display.
A consolidated Gear Check was strategically organized by Home Repair Services
Chair massages and a snack tables made our tent quite popular!
Frozen smoothies from Maui Wowi were a great touch but not quite as popular as winds picked up and temperatures approached 45 degrees
Sloth and Sly head out to the 5K Run bright and early at 7am
Thousands upon thousands of runners turned out for the largest 25K road race in the United States!
On-lookers got a great vantage point from the Ottawa Avenue Plazas overlooking the start line

The number of participants resulted in a staggered start. Almost there!
