2010 Wisconsin Best Dam Bike Tour
During the 2009 MS Challenge Walk in Door County, both Sloth and Steph were invited by several individuals to take part in the Wisconsin Chapter’s Bike MS tour. Unlike Michigan, Wisconsin hosts only one bike tour to raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society; with all of its resources concentrated on one event, our neighbors across the pond really put on a show. It works, too: the tour raised one and a half million dollars. We decided to both ride and volunteer this year to get a taste of both worlds; check out our photo and video report below!
Kelly, a Challenge Walk veteran, put us up at her home the night prior to the tour.
Sloth biked with Team Wendy, a Grand Tier team which raised more than $65,000!

Good luck to any vehicle attempting to get through this morning…
Dorothy blew in for the tour as well. Dig the cymbal-clapping monkey on the back of the bike!

Willy Wonka’s Rest Stop gets Sloth’s vote for “Best Rest Stop Theme.”
Willy herself was charming and all smiles, just as she should be!
“Golden Tickets” were available for the top fundraisers, as well as plenty of candy…
Were the Oompa Loompas really this cute?
MMMMmmmMMMmmm… Scrumpdiddlyumptious cyclists…

The tour suddenly takes a bizarre turn…
Art was our volunteer station captain. A fearless leader indeed!
Good time to be a volunteer: cyclists on Sunday were very tired and very wet!
A view from a rest stop… ahhhhhh, Wisconsin…
