Team N3kk1d has provided cyclists to the West Michigan Bike MS event (previously the MS 150 Bike Tour) since 2003. Our team has grown from a handful of riders to a double group of both cyclists and volunteers who are involved in one or both days of the event. 2004 saw our first year as a Bronze Level fundraising group; we have consistently met award-winning fundraising benchmarks each year since.
Our cyclist team consists of both experienced and beginner-level riders. Several route options enable us to accommodate many levels of riding ability. Two-day cyclists and volunteers spend the night on location at the tour and are able to socialize with both their fellow teammates and also other participants as well.
We have been blessed with an incredible few years at West Michigan Bike MS! Little or no precipitation, sunny warm days, and wonderful friends have made this event a "no brainer" for Team N3kk1d. A huge THANK YOU to all of our cyclists, volunteers, donors, and supporters who come back year after year... with momentum like this, we WILL find a cure for multiple sclerosis!
Team N3kk1d will be back at West Michigan Bike MS on June 6th and 7th, 2015; until then, be sure to check out photos and videos from our ride in 2014!

The Fifth Third River Bank Run is the largest 25K road race in the United States with more than 20,000 runners, walkers, and volunteers. As a charity partnership for the River Bank Run, Team N3kk1d and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society are dedicated to providing runners, walkers, and volunteers to the event to raise money for the fight against MS.
2014 was a record-setting success for Team N3kk1d and b4r3 4rm5, resulting in $1,800 in individual fundraising by this small but dedicated team. This is easily more than the two previous years combined. What an accomplishment... way to go, runners, and walkers! Check out photos and videos of our team in action.

THIS ONE WENT OUT TO OUR FANS! The third and final ROCK MS event was a "Rock the Block" neighborhood block party held in association with the Eastgate Neighborhood Association in southeast Grand Rapids. The event featured games and activities for all ages as well as crafts and books for sale. A full Rock Band and karaoke system proved popular with the kids, and two lucky participants walked away with a Brewery package from Paw Paw Brewery and a Taylor GS Mini guitar from Guitar Center! In the end, our Rock the Block event resulted in more than $500 raised for MS-related research and programs... and a great time was had by all! Check out our online gallery for photos and videos.

Team N3kk1d alumni, family, and friends have been participating in the Grand Rapids Walk MS event for years. Now, a younger generation takes to the stage: the c0ncr373 cru5h3r5! In 2013, team captain Heather assembled a group of friends from Mulick Park Elementary to raise more than five hundred dollars for the fight against multiple sclerosis. On Saturday, May 17th 2014, this group was joined by students from Blandford School to bring this total to ONE THOUSAND! A hearty thanks to our kids and their generous sponsors... check out photos and videos of the team in action!

Door County, Wisconsin is not only known all over the nation for its scenic beauty, but it is also the location for Challenge Walk MS: a 50 mile fundraising event over a three-day weekend. Participants must raise a minimum of $1,500 in addition to putting on some serious road mileage on their shoes. The event is not for the light of heart, but it is also one of the most rewarding fundraising events available from the MS Society.
Team N3kk1d volunteer team captain Steph Ford and Team N3kk1d alumnus Sloth have walked and worked at the event since its inception in 2009. Beginning officially in 2011, the two of them now participate as members of Team LaDorkas. This cadre of spunky women hail from all over the United States and we are honored to partner with them for Challenge Walk MS.
2014 brought us back to Door County to help raise almost $395,000 for the fight against multiple sclerosis. How does this small but dedicated group pull this off? Check out our photos and montage videos to see for yourself!

We strongly feel that this is one battle and we are all on the same side... just fighting on different fronts. Events are taking place all over Michigan and beyond with a singular goal: stomping out multiple sclerosis! Some of these events are hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and some are simply the brainchild of ordinary citizens with an extraordinary vision. If you have an event you would like us to highlight, please let us know about it; we'll also add it to our online calendar with additional details, time, and location.

On top of all of this, it's a fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society! Check out the website and join us for Detroit MuckFest MS on August 1, 2015!

Rick Szczepanski created the Mary J. Szczepanski "Never Give Up" MS Scholarship to honor his mother who courageously fought MS for 38 years. This scholarship honors high school seniors and college students in the Grand Rapids area and beyond who raise money and awareness for multiple sclerosis. Bowl for MS and Miniature Golf for MS are annual charity fundraisers for the "Never Give Up" Scholarship. Visit Rick's website, www.msscholarship.org, for additional information.
